We're a Midwest couple on a mission to find those who make truly great chicken wings and Bloody Marys. The kind so good that every other bite or sip is measured against them. (Of course, with the trusty celery sidekick).
You know exactly what we're talking about.
It all started in Champaign-Urbana, where we set out to explore the local scene and find the best spots for our two favorite things. What began as simple curiosity quickly turned into a full-on quest: to discover restaurants and bars that serve kick-ass wings and tomato cocktails.
Our mission is straightforward: to find great chicken wings and Bloody Marys, from local gems to chains, from small towns to big cities. We're here to try both traditional recipes and exciting new takes on these beloved classics and to share our experiences with you.
Our Simple Rules
If there are multiple styles of chicken wings and/or Bloody Marys, we will order the restaurant's unique version.
If there is no house version, we'll order the most popular option or what's recommended by the staff.
Cost, presentation, and experience do not factor into the final score. If the food is good, the food is good.
At the end of the day, we want to support local businesses, and this is an opportunity to do that while we search for great food and drinks. We hope you keep supporting the businesses you know and love, and maybe be inspired to try a new place or two!
